VPPA POs attend Cryptocurrency Meeting brief

     

    VPPA’s Sanma and Penama Provincial Officers attended a training on cryptocurrency use. The training, which was jointly funded and organised by Platinum sponsors; Financial Market Association (FMA), Financial Centre Association of Vanuatu (FCA) and the Ministry of Trade and Commerce and Gold sponsors; Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) Pacer plus and Titan FX, along with private business entities and the government. The training was held at the Ramada Resort’s large conference room on Wednesday, 19th November 2025.

    The POs learnt about setting up a cryptocurrency account, how it operates, the challenges and risks associated with operating a cryptocurrency account, and its benefits, such as fast and efficient money transfers with no fees.

    The trainer of the event introduced the ideas on how the adoption and implementation of such a currency could be beneficial growing the country’s economy.

    VPPA 3rd National Forum

    The Vanuatu Primary Producers’ Authority (VPPA) organized it’s 3rd National Forum this week on Tuesday 11th November 2025. In attendance, are three (3) representatives of producers from the 6 provinces and Directors of Departments Under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry and Biosecurity (MALFB) and Director of Fisheries under the ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

    VPPA OFFICERS ATTEND IFAD INDUCTION WORKSHOP

    The International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) had signed a Vt1.2 billion project with the Vanuatu Government in September 2025. The Project, aims to improve food security, nutrition and household income through empowerment and resilience farming system. The project will be implemented in Penama, Malampa and Tafea Provinces.

    COFFEE FARM VISIT – LOUPUKAS VILLAGE, MIDDLE BUSH TANNA

    On 8th of September 2025, the Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority (VPPA) Officer for TAFEA Province Mr. Alvan Natuoivi, visited Mr. Raymond Narai, a coffee farmer from Loupukas Village, Middle Bush Tanna.

    FARM VISIT REPORT – WHITE GRASS , CENTRAL TANNA

    On 3rd September 2025, the TAFEA Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority (VPPA) Officer, Mr. Alvan Natuoivi, together with the Agriculture Development Officer for West Tanna, Mr. George Lava, visited a champion root crop farmer, Mr. Steven Iatis, at the Whitegrass area, Central Tanna.
