"The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS), and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) team called upon the CEO of VPPA today to gather information which will help with the development of the Regional Kava Strategy. The Strategy is being developed under the PIFS and supported by other regional partners including SPC and PHAMA Plus.
The VPPA was advised on the afternoon of Thursday 7th July 2022, the Australian High Commission to Vanuatu wanted to include in her Santo trip, a visit to a VPPA member.
VPPA–PHAMA PLUS COCOA AND KAVA SOLAR DRYER TRAINING WORKSHOP AT VANUATU AGRICULTURE COLLEGE (VAC) starting this week from Monday 17th – Friday 21st 2022. The workshop is organized by Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority (VPPA) and its partner PHAMA Plus.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority (VPPA), Timothy Tumukon, says levies are needed for primary products whether for national or international export.
Mr. Tumukon refuted the claim from the Kava Farmers Association recently in the Daily Post that tax will tarnish the export of kava.
