VPPA OFFICERS ATTEND IFAD INDUCTION WORKSHOP

    The International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) had signed a Vt1.2 billion project with the Vanuatu Government in September 2025. The Project, aims to improve food security, nutrition and household income through empowerment and resilience farming system. The project will be implemented in Penama, Malampa and Tafea Provinces.

    The 3 days induction training for stake holders from 9th – 11th September 2025 is facilitated by IFAD and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) and is taking place at Tagabe Agriculture station. Malampa and Penama Provincial Officers are attending this workshop.

    The training’s objectives are to increase food security, improve nutrition, and raise household income through empowerment and resilient farming systems in Vanuatu. The program builds on traditional farming systems of indigenous communities, with the goal of improving agricultural production in rural areas.
