The Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority (VPPA) Officer for TAFEA, in collaboration with the Agriculture Development Officer for West Tanna, Conducted a farm visit at Loukatai Village, Tanna. During the Visit, The Officer Officially registered this serious Pineapple Farmer in the VPPA Product Group.

The farmer planted 4,500 pineapple plants along with 1,000 Taro. He also practices intercropping by growing sweet corn alongside his Taro.

The VPPA Officer encouraged the farmer to develop and record maintain a farm record book to properly record and monitor his crop production. The Officer also praised the farmer for his commitment and urged him to continue expanding his pineapple farm so he can sell at a affordable price.
