Welegtabit who received his endorsement letter on Monday, this week is not new to VPPA. Having retired from government’s civil service he engaged in farming and was chosen to represent his province, of Torba, on the VPPA Board. Mr. Welegtabit has had extensive experience in the Environmental and Climate Change spheres, having headed the NDMO also and currently leaves his position as the first political adviser to the Minister of Climate Change to take up his new role with the VPPA.

The former CEO and current DG of MALFFB, Mr. Timothy. Tumukon, welcomed Mr. Welegtabit to the position of VPPA CEO formally on Monday afternoon, in front of staff and both stated looking forward to continued close working relations to assist VPPA in continuing its mandate to the farmers around Vanuatu.
